Safe zones LinkedIn

LinkedIn safe zone

Keep text and logos at least 80 px from the top, 80 px from the bottom, 80 px from the left and 80 px from the right of a 1080×1920 LinkedIn video. Checked 23 October 2026.

LinkedIn publishes video specs but no safe zone. Vertical video uses community measurements; feed formats use the broadcast action-safe margin.

Where sources disagree

No platform publishes a safe zone for feed formats (1:1, 4:5, 16:9). Guides that give 10% buffers say themselves that they are not official. We use the EBU R95 action-safe margin and label it derived.

Quick answers

Is there an official LinkedIn safe zone?

No. LinkedIn publishes sizes and lengths, not interface margins.

Should I use vertical video on LinkedIn?

It plays in a vertical viewer on mobile. Use the 9:16 zone for that, and the feed zones for square or 4:5.

Why such small margins for 1:1 and 4:5?

In the feed, LinkedIn draws its controls outside the video. The margin only protects against rounding and scaling.
