How Super Guides works, in six beats

  1. Your edit. 9:16. A vertical for a client, on your Premiere timeline.
  2. 1 · Pick the app. One click and the Reels interface lands on its own track, safe zone included.
  3. The app would cover it. Your title sits under the like button and the caption. You’d only find out on the phone.
  4. 2 · Move it inside the margins. Every edge is measured and sourced. No guessing, no “I think so”.
  5. 3 · Export the frame. Send it to the client. “Yes, it’s inside the margins.”
  6. Then hide it. One click and the guide is gone. The export is frame-identical to a timeline that never had one. Tested in Premiere.

Measured on a real phone

Reels, Shorts and Stories traced from iPhone screenshots, not guessed from templates.

Every zone sourced and dated

Each number says where it comes from and when it was last checked. See them all.

Hidden guide, identical export

Tested in Premiere: frame for frame the same as a timeline that never had a guide.

SG—03 · 00:00:08:12 · CLIENT

“Make sure it’s inside the margins.”

Every client says it. Usually right before the approval call. Sometimes right after the post goes live.

It’s a fair question, and it’s harder to answer than it sounds. The apps move their buttons, their captions and their ad bars without telling anyone. The template you trusted in spring can be wrong by summer. So you check again, every app, every month, and you still answer with “I think so.”

Super Guides is the one place to check. Put the guide on your timeline, export the frame, send it.

Looks great. Just make sure it’s inside the margins.

It is. Here’s the frame.

SG—04 · 00:00:12:04 · EXPORT FRAME

Send the frame, not a promise.

Park the playhead on the shot that matters: the super, the logo, the legal line. Export the frame with the guide on. Your client sees their own post on top of your edit: their photo, their handle, their caption, and the safe zone around it.

No “trust me”. No screenshots from your phone. A frame they can forward to whoever has to sign off.

In the December beta: one click exports the frame with the app, the placement and the date its safe zones were last checked printed under it.

Exported with the guide on: the client sees their post and where it’s safe.

SG—04B · TRY IT · LIVE

Try it. Drag the title.

Pick an app, move the title, switch the guide off. This is the same renderer the plug-in uses, running in your browser.

SG—06 · SOURCES · DATED

One place to check. So you don’t have to.

No app publishes safe zones for organic posts. Most templates online are a best guess, copied from someone else’s best guess, and nobody tells you when they stop being right.

So every safe zone in Super Guides shows where its numbers come from, the platform’s own spec, my measurement or the community’s, and the date it was last checked. I measured the Reels, Shorts and Stories interfaces on real iPhone screenshots. TikTok comes from TikTok’s own ad template until I’ve measured it the same way.

I re-check every app at least once a quarter. Every change goes in a public changelog, and the update reaches your panel at no cost. Last full check: 23 October 2026.

SG—05 · 9 APPS · 1 REFERENCE

SG—07 · MASTER · CLEAN

Your master stays clean.

Premiere has no guide layer, so I won’t promise magic. You get three things instead:

  • One click hides every guide. The track is muted, not deleted. One more click brings it back.
  • Tested in Premiere. With the guide hidden, the export is identical, frame for frame, to a timeline that never had a guide. At 1080×1920 and at 4K.
  • A stamp you can’t miss. If you forget to hide it, NOT FOR EXPORT is right there on the frame. You’ll see it before the client does.

SG—10 · Q&A

Questions editors ask

What do I get today?

The free safe-zone pack: PNGs for nine apps plus All apps, in 1080×1920 and 4K, with every source and check date listed on this site. You also join the list. The Premiere plug-in opens to the list first, in December, at $19. It goes public on January 12, 2027, at $24.

Which apps are included?

Full interface: Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Safe zones: Facebook Reels, X, Snapchat, Pinterest and LinkedIn. And All apps, the one area that is safe on all nine at once.

Where do the numbers come from?

Every safe zone lists its source and the date it was checked: the platform’s own spec where one exists, my own measurement, or a community measurement, labelled as such. Reels, Shorts and Stories are measured on real iPhone screenshots. TikTok comes from TikTok’s own ad template until I have measured it the same way.

What happens when an app changes its interface?

I re-check every app at least once a quarter. Changes go in the public safe-zone changelog and ship as a free update. Updates are included.

Can I send the client a frame?

Yes, that is what it is for. Put their photo, handle and caption in, export the frame with the guide on, and send it. Previews are for you and your client; don’t publish them as if they were real posts.

Will the guide end up in my export?

Not if you hide it. One click mutes the guide track, and with it hidden the export is identical, frame for frame, to one that never had a guide. Tested in Premiere. If you forget, the NOT FOR EXPORT stamp makes it hard to miss.

Which Premiere, and Mac or Windows?

Adobe Premiere 25.6 or later; the beta confirms the oldest version that works, and this page will say it before anyone pays. It is built on UXP, Adobe’s current plug-in system. Tested on Mac. Windows is in beta.

Do I need After Effects?

No. Everything happens in Premiere: the panel to add the guide, and Premiere’s own Properties panel to edit it.

Is this made by Adobe, Instagram or TikTok?

No. Super Guides is an independent tool made by a video editor. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Adobe, Meta, TikTok, Google, Snap, Pinterest, LinkedIn or X.

What if it doesn’t work for me?

14-day refund, no questions. Write to hello@superguides.pro and the answer comes from me, Mario.

SG—11 · CREDITS

Built by an editor who gets asked the same question.

I’m Mario Monteiro. I’ve been editing for 20 years, for brands like Audi, CUPRA, SEAT and BBVA, through agencies like DDB, McCann and TBWA.

More and more of what I deliver ends up on a phone, under someone else’s interface. And every client asks me the same thing: “Make sure it’s inside the margins.” I used to answer after checking three templates, two help pages and my own phone. Every month, because the apps kept changing.

I wanted one place I could count on, inside Premiere, and a frame I could send back. Nobody had built it the way I needed it. So I did.

If something doesn’t work, you’ll be writing to me. Mario
